BREAKING NEWS: Firefighters Batting 33 Bridle Path Trail, Killingworth, CT Structure Fire

Friday Morning Update Per CT State Police:
***State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit assist in Killingworth Fatal Fire Investigation***

On January 25, 2018 at approximately 9:46 p.m., firefighters, the Killingworth Fire Marshal, troopers from Troop F-Westbrook and detectives from the Connecticut State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit (FEIU) responded to 33 Bridle Path Trail in Killingworth for a residential structure fire.

After firefighters extinguished the fire, a deceased victim was located inside the residence.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) will conduct a post-mortem examination to determine positive identify of the victim and cause and manner of death.

This fire remains under investigation.
