MIDDLETOWN, RI - January 7, 2020 - People's Credit Union employees recently donated over $350 to the Kiwanis Club of Aquidneck Island, a local nonprofit located in Middletown, RI. The donation was given through employee donations for the Credit Union's employee dress down day, called Casual for a Cause.
People's Credit Union's Community Enhancement Committee works with the branches and support staff in choosing twelve local non-profits in the community to be the recipients of the employee donations. This employee driven initiative is one way in which employees demonstrate their commitment to enhancing the community, which is one of People's Credit Union's core values.
The Kiwanis Club is a thriving organization of men, women, and youth that are dedicated to serving the children of the world and improving the quality of life worldwide. "The Kiwanis Club of Aquidneck Island thanks People's Credit Union for donating their Casual for a Cause funds to our organization so that we may continue our mission of helping our communities. If you're looking to give back to your community, Kiwanis is your volunteer group to join." "We want YOU," said David Koohy, current Club President.
