Brown Men’s Tennis Defeated at No. 44 LSU, 4-0

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Brown men's tennis team was defeated by No. 44 LSU , 4-0, on Tuesday at the LSU Tennis Complex.

For doubles competition, junior Gregory Garcia (Poway, Calif.) and sophomore Peter Tarwid (Lake Forest, Ill.) battled tough in first doubles against No. 10 Jordan Daigle and Boris Arias, but fell 6-3. Sophomore Aaron Sandberg (Hudson, Ohio) and freshman Mladen Mitak (Zagreb, Croatia) pushed their third doubles match to extra points, but were unable to capture the set (7-5).

In singles play, Garcia had another tough battle in first singles to No. 69 Jordan Daigle but lost the contest 6-3, 6-4.

The Bears will spend one more day in Louisiana and compete against No. 23 Tulane on Wednesday, March 30 for a 3:00 p.m. match.
