WINDHAM, CONN. - The Western Connecticut State University men's golf team opened the 2021 campaign with a fourth-place finishe at the Warrior Invitational, hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University, at The Windham Club on Monday afternoon.
WestConn, which was led by freshman Cameron
Right behind Bodamer was junior Ryan Bedell (Milford, Conn.) and his 90 score. Rounding out the scoring four for WestConn was Aaron Liner (New Fairfield, Conn.) (97) and Ryan Straiton (Danbury, Conn.) (100).
Freshman Carson Brod (Bethel, Conn.) carded a 115 in his first collegiate match.
"For most of our players, that was their first competitive match, and I'm very proud of them," said new WestConn head coach Riley Shay. "We certainly have room for improvement, and I can't wait to see the progress throughout the year. I think the boys did great."
WestConn travels to Newburgh, N.Y. next Tuesday, September 28 for the Mount St. Mary Invitational.
