Deyshawn Tengbeh
Providence, R.I.--Senior guard Deyshawn Tengbeh (East Providence, R.I.) recorded a season-high 20 points and five rebounds as Rhode Island College defeated Plymouth State, 74-72, in Little East action played at the Murray Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen trailed three minutes into the game, 6-5, until Tengbeh came
• Plymouth State would then open the second half on a 7-0 run, which put them ahead, 38-37, for just the second time on the day.
• With 5:15 remaining, the Anchormen would lead by 12 points, 63-51, as sophomore forward Xavier Mendez (Pawtucket, R.I.) made a layup.
• The Panthers were not finished yet, tying the game up at 69 apiece off of a three-pointer with 1:54 remaining.
• Senior guard Dwayne Robinson-O'Hagan (Woonsocket, R.I.) then went coast-to-coast and made a layup to give RIC a three-point advantage, 72-69, with just over a minute remaining.
• Once again, the Panthers responded, nailing another game-tying three with 30 seconds remaining.
• Robinson-O'Hagan would then seal the deal after a timeout, making what would prove to be the game-winning shot, by driving to the hoop and converting a layup to put the hosts up by two, 74-72, with five seconds remaining.
• The Panthers launched a desperation three from just over halfcourt at the buzzer, but it was off the mark and helped RIC stay unbeaten in the Little East.
• Robinson-O'Hagan scored the club's final four points as part of a 17-point effort. Mendez played a pivotal role off the bench with a career-high nine points and 10 rebounds.
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East play at home vs. Western Connecticut on Tuesday, Jan. 14 (7:30 p.m.).
