Mayor Rilling’s Clean City Initiative- Earth Day City Wide Cleanup

Norwalk, Connecticut - Please join Mayor Harry Rilling, the City of Norwalk, and Keep Norwalk Beautiful for the Mayor’s Clean City Initiative Spring Cleanup, scheduled for Saturday, April 27 beginning at 10 a.m. Meet at Norwalk City Hall where Mayor Rilling will hand out gloves, bags, T-shirts, and litter pick-up tools, while supplies last. Your team can then choose a location such as your neighborhood, local park or beach, business area, schoolyard, or shoreline. Help Keep Norwalk Beautiful!

“Norwalk is a beautiful city that offers so much - from beautiful parks and beaches to suburban and urban living. Litter in our streets and open spaces not only hurts how the city looks, but it is also harmful to the environment and our health. Keeping our city clean requires a continual effort on the part of businesses, residents and city leaders - we all must do our part. If everyone would commit to adopting a small spot around their homes or businesses, it would truly make a difference,” said Mayor Harry W. Rilling. “The Citywide cleanup planned for April 27 is a wonderful way for the public to step up, volunteer, and have a direct impact in their community. I know residents take great pride in our city and I hope they will join me for this great event.”

Each cleanup team that sends a before and after picture of a cleanup location will be entered into a drawing for gift cards!

1st Place - $100 | 2nd Place - $50 | 3rd Place - $25
