Sam Salamone led the Pride (7-5 overall, 4-0 NECC) with six goals and an assist for a game-high seven points. Nicole Roche added three goals and three helpers while Mary Roma also recorded a hat trick on the day. Malorie Kiehl and Arianna Woodley scored two goals apiece as Regis held a 33-16 edge in shots.
Ashley Murtha paced the Mariners (4-4 overall, 2-2 NECC) with four goals while Francesca Pinard
and Kate McCormack contributed one each. Mitchell goalie Samantha Ryan finished with nine saves in the game.
Regis built a 7-0 lead in the opening 9:06 of the contest. Salamone scored three times during the stretch while Roma added a pair of goals, and the Pride never let the lead dip below four the rest of the way.
Murtha put Mitchell on the scoreboard with 20:25 remaining in the half. Later in the stanza, back-to-back tallies by Murtha and a score by McCormack cut the deficit to 8-4 with 11:13 to play.
Regis responded with six straight goals to close the half. Woodley and Kiehl each scored twice in the spurt, which left the Pride with a 14-4 lead at the break.
Salamone scored twice in the second half to cap a productive afternoon. A goal by Rachel Gagnon gave Regis its biggest lead at 19-4 with 10:26 remaining in the contest.
Regis goalie Emma Decker finished with eight saves. Roma led all players with six draw controls while Gagnon scooped up four ground balls.
Mitchell will next play at Daniel Webster College on Sunday, April 17 at 1 p.m. Regis returns to action at Southern Vermont College on Monday, April 18 at 4:30 p.m.
