LENIHAN LEADS ANCHORWOMEN TO FIFTH PLACE FINISH AT WESTERN NEW ENGLAND INVITATIONAL

Springfield, Mass.--Sophomore Briana Lenihan (Saunderstown, RI) finished 17th (20:35) to lead the Rhode Island College women's cross country team to a fifth place (15 teams) finish at the 2015 Western New England Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
 
RIC totaled a team score of 138, while Westfield State took home the title with a score of 32.
 
 Freshman Veronica Northup (Hope, RI) finished 32nd (20:55). Junior Lauren Deguire (Blackstone, MA) placed 28th (21:04).

Freshman Lauren Paiva (Coventry, RI) finished 34th (21:18). Junior Allison Lomas (Saunderstown, RI) finished 57th (22:22).
 
Sophomore Ashley Bricault (Cumberland, RI) finished 69th (22:56). Junior Jess Trautman (Narragansett, RI) finished 110th (25:54).
 
Freshman Margaret Buckley (Norwich, CT) finished 117th (26:33). Sophomore Tess Rhoat (Wakefield, RI) finished 122nd (26:56).
 
 Freshman Heather Kolaski (Barrington, RI) finished 129th (28:35).
 
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2015 Little East Conference Championship, hosted by Keene State on Saturday, Oct. 31.
