NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Brown University
baseball team will participate in the fourth annual USA Baseball-Irish
Classic, announced by USA Baseball and the University of Notre Dame on
Wednesday. The nationally-known tournament will take place on March 4-6,
2016 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North
Carolina.
In addition to Brown and Notre Dame, the
tournament will also include NC State University, the University of
Alabama, Bucknell University and Niagara University. Eight games are
slated for the impressive USA Baseball National Training Complex, with
two other contests scheduled for Doak Field on the campus of NC State.
Brown will open up the tournament on
Friday, March 4 against Bucknell at NTC Stadium, before playing Notre
Dame (3/5) and Alabama (3/6).
Ticket information for the USA Baseball-Irish Classic will be announced at a later date on UND.com and USABaseball.com.
The rest of Brown's 2016 schedule will be released at a later date.
