ANCHORWOMEN FINISH 21st AT JAMES EARLEY INVITATIONAL

Westfield, Mass.--Junior Lauren Deguire (Blackstone, MA) placed 84th (409 runners) with a time of 20:51.11 to lead the Rhode Island College women’s cross country team at the 2015 James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State on Saturday morning.
 
The Anchorwomen finished 21st (39 teams) with a score of 591. The University of New England won the meet with a score of 72.
 
Sophomore Briana Lenihan (Saunderstown, RI) finished 115th (21:17.23). Freshman Veronica Northup (Hope, RI) finished 140th (21:33.16). Freshman Lauren Paiva (Coventry, RI) finished 153rd (21:40.47).

Junior Allison Lomas (Saunderstown, RI) finished 196th (22:23.21). Sophomore Ashley Bricault (Cumberland, RI) finished 278th (23:41.88). Junior Abigail Dandurand (Hope Valley, RI) finished 286th (23:54.09).
 
Junior Jess Trautman (Narragansett, RI) finished 348th (25:55.84). Freshman Margaret Buckley (Norwich, CT) finished 378th (28:16.15). Freshman Heather Kolaski (Barrington, RI) finished 379th (28:21.27).  Sophomore Tess Rhoat (Wakefield, RI) finished 385th (29:16.78).
 
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Western New England Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 17.
