Mitchell Men's Tennis Falls to Wheelock

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Mitchell College men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Wheelock College on Friday afternoon in a New England Collegiate Conference match-up at the Mack Tennis Courts.

Wheelock (3-7 overall, 3-3 NECC) began the match by sweeping doubles play. The Wildcats then claimed wins at the top four singles positions—all in straight sets—to secure the match.

Arvin Hedayaty, Jordan Bernard, Matthew Brown and Will Spofford all claimed singles wins for the Wildcats. Nathaniel Bowe and Michael Hartley picked up wins at No. 5 and 6 singles, respectively, to give Mitchell its two points.

Mitchell (2-5 overall, 2-4 NECC) returns to action at Becker College on Saturday, April 16 at 1 p.m. Wheelock will next play at Regis College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
